In 1995, JOHN CUSMAI founded CAR KINGS INC in WALLINGTON, NJ. The goal was to create a successful family-owned business that pays as much attention to the details of excellent customer service as it does to thorough, precise automotive maintenance and repair.
CAR KINGS started out small - Work orders were written by hand, and bookkeeping was done in ledgers. And eventually, through the combination of John's extensive automotive repair experience, that original goal was turned into a reality. CAR KINGS now has FOUR dedicated, conscientious employees, FIVE oversized work bays, an alignment bay, state-of-the-art specialty tools and technologies, and a spacious office with a clean, comfortable dedicated customer lounge.
But as CAR KINGS continues to grow and stay current with the most up-to-date automotive repair technologies, that original mission remains unchanged: to provide our customers with exceptional, professional customer service; to service their vehicles with honest, timely, and high-quality workmanship; and honor our community with responsible environmental stewardship.

Best mechanic I have had in years!! They were able to diagnose and fix a critical problem on my Jeep. The pricing is fair and I feel the quality of work is there. John the Owner took the time to explain everything part by part. The best part was that unlike other mechanics who pressure you into doing more work to the car, John explained some things that he saw and when I should expect to do it. He gave me the option and explained what is best to do. I will definitely be bringing all my cars here and recommending to my family and friends.
Recently we had to bring in our work truck to John and his team. Ford 6.0 diesel motor and if anyone knows its always though to find very good experienced techs to work on them. Our truck needed a lot of TLC and John and his team got her running like new again. John kept me posted the whole way though the repairs and all was done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Car Kings!
It's easy to tell that providing the best possible service is very important to John and his staff. Recently moved from NY and was hoping to find my new auto shop to replace somewhere I’d been going to for years. Came here for a routine brake change as well as a request to top off and change any fluids as necessary. Needless to say, after picking up my car, it was suddenly making a loud sound every time I hit a pothole. A sound it had never made before. It took a few attempts for them to figure out what had gone wrong and they ultimately repaired it. I still hear the brakes squeak intermittently and can’t honestly say I feel comfortable with the work performed or the parts received. Aside from the brakes, only a couple of weeks after service, my steering fluid light came on. I really wish I’d had a better experience. I feel spoiled having had a great spot all these years on Long Island. I won’t be a return customer and will be looking elsewhere for future service. I want to reiterate that everyone at this shop was pleasant to deal with and my issue was ultimately resolved. But it was costly (using Ubers to drop off and pickup multiple times) and time consuming.
